Roads minister has to do U-turn

THE office of the Roads Minister, Michael Daley, was forced to deny last night that he had scrapped $59 million in funding from two Coalition electorates against his department's recommendations after the Herald discovered draft state budget press releases had been doctored by the minister's office to remove the projects.
