Trophy To Visit Nowra

THE Melbourne Cup will be in Nowra next month as part of a world-wide promotional tour.

Nowra was the home of Archer, which won the first two cups - 1861 and 1862.

The $125,000 trophy will tour Ireland, England and Dubai in the weeks before the international horses arrive in Melbourne to contest the rich spring carnival.
